Dora shot him a look, hoping that her blush would stay hidden, only known to the darkness beneath the stairs. "You say that as if you're the first person to think if it." She whispered to him. He grinned. "Well, maybe we should test out the theory? How about I pick you up at 8?" Suddenly she was aware of the lack of space between herself and the seemingly mysterious handsome boy named Daniel. "I don't think that's a good idea." She said, holding his gaze as if to highlight her words. "And why wouldn't it be a good idea? Are you embarrassed of me?" His mouth quirked up, his handsome face showing a cheeky but smug smile, which made her heart beat a little faster. "Haven't you heard? To set foot on a Penny's land, is to tempt death." She then rather thoughtfully added. "There's a reason why our visitors never leave." She glanced away and wondered whether she may have laid it on too much. "Oh, maybe they weren't lucky enough to pick one of you up, I'm not planning on staying long enough to be classed as a visit." Dora felt young all of a sudden. She was seventeen, one of the eldest in her year, but in terms of experience with guys and the world outside of disposal, she didn't have any experience. Staying on to continue her studies in sixth form she'd hope that she would perhaps learn something. But clearly, exams and course work weren't a Penny thing. She left her face smile. More like money and corpses. She imagined it would be something that Preston would have said. "Ok, no need to go all silent on me. I can take a hint." Daniel whispered, leaving his head back against the wall and closing his eyes. Dora blinked, she hadn't realised she'd been so quiet. "You realise if you pick me up, it'll be your head. Death won't be a option it will be a certainty. Especially with my older brothers" she whispered. He responded by raising just one eye brow.
"You don't think I can take them on" he said, she noted that his hand had moved over to where hers was. A hair width away from actually touching.
"I know you can't take them on."
