I was sent a letter today. In a golden envelope, the note lays. Strange writing scrawled the address, In uneasiness, the envelope I did undressed. And there on the paper was a peculiar thing. Strangeness the whole situation would sing. Mentally I was utterly confused... Was this a joke? Was this a rouse? But there the letters stood, The ink was setting this nervous mood. 'I'd like to buy your life' The statement sharp, like a knife. Then below was the long digits, Large enough to make me fidget. But there it was, my life given a price. Should I take the deal? Throw the dice. I could get a new one Rebuild mine in the sun. Leave all I know here... Family, friends and my fears. Give up my identify, for this money I might. But this... Is quite a plight. Maybe another year and I'll give it all in. I just want some last moments, before you win.
