I fell in love with a promiscuous piper. Playing melodies just for my heart. With his whistles he hypnotised me... From his music I never wanted to part. Through his pipe he showed me the world, Tunnelled I could not see... That I was just one of his many maidens. That he'd bedded, and taken from me. But, still I followed him out... Into the streets and across the sea. Forever he played his tunes, The tunes that hypnotised me. But soon I became tired, His songs had played so long. He had hundreds of other maidens. He surely wouldn't miss my song. It was hard to leave my piper, Just like its hard to leave a drug. For sanities sake, it had to happen. He was a flower, and I, just one bug. So I left him with his lovers, And returned home to tell the tale. Beware of the man with the music, Listen, and loves doomed to fail.
