I leapt across the styx, leering at its feebleness. I had simply made my anchor to mortality a lock of my jet black hair. That hair had then been removed and locked in a chest which was then buried in a secret location. I hit the bank on the side of the undead, rolled, lept up and continued running. I was finally on the hunt. Years I had trained for this moment, I felt alive, free as I ran across the open plains of Hades. A magnifisent structure became visible in the distance. A massive arch made of pure obsidian. Skulls littered the ground at its base. A long line of mournful souls emerged from this arch. Waiting for their afterlife, be it good or bad they would get what they deserved. I craned my neck, looking for any familiar faces. I saw none. While I noticed the arch's beauty my attention was focused on what lay in between it's majestic pillars. The beast that I was here to slay. Cerberus. A giant fiery boarhound with deep dark pits in his skull to replace eyes. Oh and he had three heads. Terror filled my heart as I gazed upon his bloodcurdling features. It was all I could do not to turn and bolt away. Reality had finally caught up. I had to kill this spine tingling monster. I slid my katana from its sheath. Muttering the phrase that sent lightning arching down its blade. My wakizashi slides free from its sheath on my side. It flys into my left hand. As I run I clash it with my katana, the lightning pulses down it too. I run at Cerberus, letting loose a savage battle cry. He looks down at me. Then lowers his middle head to bite me. I think fast. Jumping onto his head. Landing with my katana piercing through his skull. My body weight driving it home. A wordless shout frees itself from my lips, sending a massive pulse of lightning down my sword blade. It travels through Cerberus' flesh and bone, frying his brain. The other heads yelp and whimper in agony. The head slumps, I lose my footing and fall to the ground. I'm up and on my feet in a flash. Again I run towards the creature. This time it keeps it's heads high. Then instantly snaps them down. I duck and dodge all the way to its gigantic paws. Then it catches me off guard. I'm suddenly in its mouth, cutting and slashing at the writhing great slug of a tongue. It makes to howl but I stab it's tongue to the floor of its mouth. All that come out is a strangled gurgle. I turn to look upwards, I see the roof of its mouth, I throw my secondary sword. It spins through the air. Lightning glowing. It hits my target. The second head is down. I leap from its mouth after cutting a tooth free. A little souvenir. The final head fixes me with a paralysing glare. I growl at it. It growls back. I reach up to my second katana. I loosen the bindings holding it in its sheath. A crazy plan forms in my mind. I smile madly. Then bark at the dog. It goes wild. I run towards it. Then, 10ish meters away, I flip. The katana slips free of its holder. I spin, kicking it mid spin. It flies straight and true. I land in a crouch and look up just in time to see it penetrate between the creatures eyes. Cerberus falls, the ground shakes as he hits the floor. I turn and calmly walk away.
