I stretched awake, pulling the thick white duvet up to my neck, snuggling into the plush
cover. A wave of excitement passed through me as I remembered where I was. I dashed to my window, Parisians were milling around the small gravel paths in between market stalls and flower beds, and in the background stood the iconic tower, that stood proudly, above all other structures below. I gasped at the beauty of the place before throwing on a maxi skirt and cropped t shirt and ran to Olivia's apartment, hammering on her door. She opened the door, grinning excitedly, clutching her bag. 'Are you ready?' she squealed.
I ran my hands along the metal railing that bordered a small park, tiny children ran through a fountain in the middle of the green space, while their fashionable mothers sat chatting on picnic mats, their easy going nature oozing out of every pore. Olivia grabbed my hand pulling me along pointing and squealing excitedly at the treasures that the market stalls bordering the park held. We walked around the small square, picking up and admiring the wares of the market, until we reached a small patisserie. I gasped at the beautiful window display, tiny beautifully created chocolates and sweet treats where everywhere you looked. I pressed my palm against the window. I turned to liv, she smiled understanding my excitement. We went inside breathing in the delicious aroma that cloaked the shop. I bought some tiny chocolates and left clutching my small bag full of happiness.
'I think we should go out tonight, to celebrate our arrival!' liv exclaimed. I grinned and nodded as I slipped through my tiny front door. I showered quickly, and plaited my hair in a fishtail plait that trailed down my back, I slipped into a floaty navy dress and swiped some mascara over my eyelashes and waited for the sound of Olivia's excited footsteps.
