For the second time that week I woke up in hospital. This time, though, no one was waiting for me. When the nurse came in I asked, 'is everyone ok?' Understanding what I meant she replied, 'yes everyones ok, you can go home now if you feel ready' I wanted nothing more than to go home, but leaving meant having to face Lucy and Adam. However the hospital was very busy and I felt bad wasting their time with my petty problems, so I discharged myself. Luckily when I got back to our room, Lucy was out, although she had left a letter on my pillow.
Dear Abby,
I am so sorry you had to find out this way. I wanted to tell you but I know how much Adam means to you and every time I tried to tell you, I just couldn't. I want you to know that nothing is going on between me and Adam. It was a drunken mistake, remember the party last month, well it seems Adam and I had one to many drinks and have ended up in the situation we are in. However I do not want this to come between our friendship or you and adam, so I am prepared to get rid of the baby if that Is what you would like. I don't want anything to come between us. Please try and forgive me. Although I will understand if you can't.
