As soon as we step off the helicopter,we are greeted by the sight of dozens of terrified looking people. They can't tell the difference between who to trust and who to run from anymore. We split off into twos, me with Adam, and Lucy with James. Adam and I walk between mud shacks, we have our guns slung around our necks, cocked and ready to fire at the first sign of danger. Terrified mothers are pushing their small children inside and running in after them. 'it's alright', Adam called,'we are here to help you' he dropped his gun so that it was hanging around his neck and raised his hands above his head. Slowly people began to trickle out of their huts, children firmly pressed behind them. Adam had this calming way about him that made people trust him. 'please can you form a queue and follow us' he called. 'don't worry you are safe with us.' I added. Then the explosion went off.
