Inside the box was the most beautiful necklace I had ever seen. It was a silver butterfly with cut out patterns in its wings. Adam reached round and fastened it round my neck, it went perfectly with my dress and the silver thread in my hair. 'it's so beautiful, Adam you shouldn't have, was this the surprise?' I asked 'part of it' he grinned. Then he took my arm and walked me down the wide stairs into the ballroom. Lucy was standing with Tom over by the bar and she beckoned us over. 'wow, you both look so amazing.' Tom said, and was rewarded with a peck on the cheek from Lucy. Adam ordered us all a glass of champagne and they all disappeared off to the dance floor, I stood leaning against the bar, sipping my drink while I watched three of the most important people in my life dancing and laughing together. Adam looked over at me and walked towards me. He took my hand and said on a silly posh voice, 'may I have this dance' I laughed and followed him as my reply. We danced for hours, laughing and fooling around with Lucy and Tom. As the evening drew later, the songs slowed down until Adam and I were gently swaying his hands on my hips and my head rested on his shoulder. I never wanted that moment to end. I woke up suddenly and looked at the clock, it was three in the morning, Adam had his hand on my waist, but I felt really hot. The hotel had an amazing outdoor pool and I decided to go for a dip. I slid out of bed and quickly changed into my green paisley patterned bikini, left Adam a note incase he woke up and rushed to the pool. There were beautiful olive trees surrounding the pool with thousands of twinkling fairy lights on them, the air had a cold bite to it and there was steam coming off the pool. I dived gracefully in and did a few laps, then I just let myself float. I stood up as the sun began to rise, and felt someone wrap their arms around me and kiss the back of my neck. I giggled as Adams breath tickled the back of my neck. Then he pulled us both under, his hair floating above his head. Then we both burst to the surface gasping for air. He picked me up and carried me out of the pool, leaving a wet trail behind us, he wrapped us both in a huge towel and we both sat together and watched the sun rise, it was beautiful.
