I woke up and stretched out my back, feeling for Adam beside me, my hands where met by cold rumpled sheets. I sat up quickly and saw the piece of paper on my bedside table, I picked it up,

Just had to go into work quickly, should be back by lunch time. I changed Amelie's nappy before I left. I love you

I smiled and placed it back on the table, I walked over to where Amelie lay peacefully. I carried her down stairs in the Moses basket, and luckily she stayed asleep. It was nearly 11, so I began cooking something for Adams lunch.
I heard the key turn In the door just as I set the plates on the table. Amelie began to stir, so I picked her up and bounced her up and down gently, until she started giggling. 'hello gorgeous girl.' Adam said taking Amelie out of my arms and kissing her head. Then he reached over and gave me a lingering kiss.

As Adam set his cutlery down on his plate he said, 'I've got to go on a mission, but it's only for a week.' he said. I nodded sadly, I had handed in my notice of leave so that I could look after Amelie, but Adam had yet to do his. 'hey' he said lifting my chin so I looked him in the eyes, 'it will be over before you know it.' he kissed me tenderly, but I stood up and wrapped my arms around his neck crushing his lips to mine, the kisses got hungrier and Adam pushed me up against the wall. As I began to lift the hem of Adams shirt, we heard a soft whine. We broke away from each other guiltily, I walked over to her and picked her up hugging her to my chest, Adam and I looked at each other sheepishly. 'I'll go pack, I leave tomorrow...' he trailed off. 'I'll do it, you should spent time with Amelie.' I said handing her to him and rushing upstairs. I packed Adams back and slipped in a photo of us and Amelie just after she was born, I looked tired in the photo, but there was a sparkle of excitement in my eyes. Adam came and wrapped his arms around me from behind, kissing my neck slowly, turning my insides to liquid, I melted under his touch. 'what about Amelie?' I said barely standing up right as he continued kissing me. 'asleep' he said kissing me with more urgency. I turned and and let him push me on the bed, covering me in tiny kisses.
