Well, it appeared that the LostFae were not exactly genial. As the terrain changed from darkly surreal to withered and misty, Nyx and Hades pressed closer together and gripped their makeshift weapons tighter. The first LostFae appeared to the right of Nyx. It's form shimmered in and out of existence like a shade. It appeared to be a male, around Nyx's age. He had shining black hair. It was draped over one bright white eye. There was no pupil or iris, just a small patch of pearl. When it smiled, it had normal teeth. Fangless. No wings. Normality. Nyx's weapon clattered to the ground. Her mouth dropped open a fraction of an inch. She stood frozen. The mists began to thicken around her and the LostFae, ever so slightly. "Nyx?" muttered Hades, shifting slightly to be able to see her face. Her face was vacant. The blue of her eyes that he had come to find comfort in was fading slowly, fading to white. He let his weapon fall as well, and grabbed her by the shoulders. "Nyx!" He hollered. It appeared that she couldn't hear him. He couldn't lose her too. Not after Hermes. Her eyes were completely white now. The mist was whirling thickly and fast. He glanced at the creature. It was smiling widely now, maliciously. It lightly placed its fingertip on her cheek. For a moment, its eyes were blue. Then they returned to white, and Nyx fell to the ground. She was deathly pale, even for a BloodFae. Hades watched, horrified, as gashes appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, on her neck. She just lay there, not flinching. Blood trickled onto the ground, tainting the dust. He yelled furiously, and turned to the creature. It grinned at him as he reached out to grab it, then disappeared. The mist went with him. Hades bent over her, pressing his hands to her wounds. Nyx didn't stir. She didnt breathe. "They took Nyx." Giggled a cold voice behind him. He turned slightly, and shuddered. There stood what the LostFae had created. It was Nyx, in a sense. But her eyes were blank, and her face was divoid of color. It smiled at him coldly. Her fangs were gone. The other LostFae stepped out from the shadows and lightly touched her shoulder. He beckoned for her to follow.
"Rather, they saved Nyx. Farewell, Hades." It giggled girlishly, and walked back into the mist to join the other LostFae.
Hades stared at the sky. He didnt want to face the others. He wasn't sure he wanted to even find the others.
