Nyx hit one of the Hellspace ledges. She pushed herself up against the black stone. Sweat dripped from her brow. The heat was intense. She supposed that was to be expected. The air began to wave from the heat. The Hellspace began to tremble. She guessed it was a young one. It approached her, green eyes peering through her, as if willing to burn her soul. The eyes were full of cunning. Nyx threw the Cronus fang.
It stuck near the behemoth's middle. It hissed a bit, and with one sweep of its tail, it knocked her off the edge and into the darkness. She couldn't tell if she was falling.
Then a pair of pale arms grabbed her out of the abyss. They had left Iceedge. Hecate was leading them across one of the DesolatePlains, barren lands full of sand, with a few dying cacti scattered around and the occasional scorpion. They were getting close. They could see the occasional sprout or tuft of grass poking out of the ground. Hermes plucked a blade of grass and wound it around his finger. "Hecate..." He muttered. She silently handed him his snakes. They coiled happily around his arm. He muttered a thank you. They were definitely in SpringEdge now. The air was warm and comfortable, and birds still were able to survive here. Posidon laughed as a gull landed in Aphrodite's hair. Hecate leaned against one of the pines. It smelt of mint, and home. Though, she thought, the Earths were now her home. Her home had been destroyed by the Shattering. She looked down, and saw a length of rusted chain. They could use this. She picked it up and pulled. Her fingers were turning orange from the grime. It was caught on something. She silently followed the chain. It led to a the ruins of a house. They hadnt found any that were habitable yet, but she felt this one was different. It was made of red brick, and ivy was creeping up its sides. She opened the door, and screamed.
