Nyx heard footsteps and wingbeats. She turned around and saw a group of Fae heading toward her and Aphrodite. She stepped in front of Aphrodite and unsheathed her claws, until she recognized them. "Nyx? You look like a BloodFae. But I guess that makes since, you probably are one." Posidon rambled. Nyx nodded slightly. Aphrodite was peering apprehensively at Hades. DeathFae, she thought. I should have guessed. The breeze distracted Aphrodite from her thoughts. It was picking up quickly. Hecate looked to the shadows beneath the trees, and saw a pair of green eyes. They blinked once and then vanished. "There's someone here." Breathed Hecate. Hades heard a low thrum, and spotted a shining white hummingbird next to his ear. He glanced around. There were thousands. All of them were grey, except for the one next to him. Then, inexplicably, they all flew back into the trees, covering themselves in the cloak of the forest. All was silent for a moment. Then a high voice rang out from next to one of the Ebony trees. "What are you doing in my forest?" The speaker appeared to be a young girl of about 10, though it was impossible to tell. Her eyes were the green of the leaves, and her face pale as the snow. She was not a dryad, she seemed somehow different. Her hair was black with a blue sheen, it resembled ravens feathers. She was garbed in a simple white dress and a black cloak. "Why are you here? You've come for the animals to give to the DeathFae? Well you can't have them. Now get out." The girl narrowed her eyes. "Look, little girl, we're here on important business." Posidon said. The girl glared at him. "I don't care, you ugly fish. You don't belong here." She turned to the others. "You look to be of evil, you two do. And the girl made of glass. The messenger? Messages are loud. They kill the silence. Death has claimed to many here." Her gaze softened as she looked at Hecate. "Go. Your friend is fading." "Look, we don't want to hurt you." Hades rasped. "DeathFae. You do. Just like the Cronuses. They kill everything. They killed my forests heart." Her eyes were beginning to water. "They burned it. They are nothing but destruction, and so are you all. Now leave, or I'll call my treecats." She threatened. Golden eyes appeared in the ebony trees. "I warned you." The woodsprite muttered. And the cats leaped out of the trees.
The fire danced around the Cronuses. The sun was their power and dwelling place. "There are Fae that once disguised themselves as humans." The Elder Cronus hissed. "Parasites. Nyx, Aphrodite, Hermes, Posidon, Hecate, and Hades. They changed their names to hide from us." It's eyes glowed brighter. "Fools. The Cronuses see all. We are just waiting to strike when it will hurt the most."
