They were about to reach Iceedge, the icy side of the third fragment of earth. It had once been known as the Arctic, but it was quickly getting hotter, melting the ice and turning it into a second Sandedge. Iceedge was the favorite of Nyx, besides Lostedge. She gazed around at the crumbling glaciers and marveled at the ice, reflecting the placid blue of the fragmented sky. Nearby, a polar bear lay, stranded and wounded. She reached out to it, but it growled and she pulled back. She felt her hatred toward the Cronuses burn, boiling in the pit of her stomach. Aphrodite placed her hand timidly on Nyx's shoulder. Nyx whirled around, slightly startled, and Aphrodite jumped back. "Sorry. I know, I can't stand to see beauty broken either, though I much prefer Springedge to this place. Iceedge seems looming, waiting to close in on you and freeze you." Donahue Emerged from underneath a ledge in the ice and handed Joss her parasol. "Save the dark for the night, Nyx." He muttered. He walked over to the polar bear from earlier. It was breathing heavily. He placed his hand on its side, and its breathing stopped. He had a way of telling when death was going to come.

Posidon stopped looking at the frozen water longingly and gazed up at the sky. Hermes handed the bundle containing his snakes to Hecate to keep warm, and walked over to the glacier nearest to them. He felt it, and noticed the slight tremor. It was growing stronger. "They're coming. And fast. It's a young one, probably delivering a tremor." He said nervously. They dashed over to the glacier and pressed up against it. Hecate felt her heart hammering on her rib cage. Then the Iceedge began to shudder. A rumbling, horrible sound was made as chunks of ice fell from the glacier. Hecate stepped sideways, avoiding a chunk the size of a car, by sheer luck. But Posidon was not so lucky.
