The MoonFae's attack was met with a knee to the face from Aphrodite, a burst of light in the eyes from Hecate, and claws across the back from Hades. For something so intimidating, it wasn't very dangerous. The MoonFae whimpered and shifted back into its humanoid form. Hades stood over it, claws at the ready. He was not in the mood for this. "How do we get back to the Earths?" He hissed. The MoonFae flinched. "I'll show you. Don't kill me." He pleaded. He lead them on toward the center of MoonFae territory. They came to a well made of moonstone and ice. Hecate peered over the edge. The bottom wasnt visible. The MoonFae gestured to the well. Aphrodite took a breath. He wanted them to jump into a well. That seemed sane. Hades didnt seem to care. He climbed up and jumped in without hesitation. Hecate followed, and then Aphrodite. The MoonFae glanced around, and jumped in after them.
It was cold in the passage between worlds. Droplets of liquid crystal were stuck to the walls. A silver sphere fell into Aphrodite's hands, and she held onto it. And they fell into IceEdge with a thump. Hades hissed when he saw the MoonFae. "Listen, I came to tell you this. Now that you are in your true forms, you can use your magic to merge the Earths back together. The Cronuses will be sealed in the glaciers, and eventually freeze to death. But if you decide to do this, it will take all of your energy. Essentially, you will die." The MoonFae bowed its head, and jumped of the Edge back into his home. Hecate, Aphrodite, and Hades stared at eachother. Aphrodite set the silver sphere on the ground. Their eyes said everything. Joss had not gone in vain. Nor had Hermes or Posidon. They needed to do this.
The MoonFae had not been completely right. Hecate became a star, Polaris, watching the Earth turn in peace. Hades became the shadow on the sun, keeping the Cronus that had not been sealed away at bay. Aphrodite became a forest, seeing all that was beautiful. By some twist of fate, Hermes also became the wind, Nyx the first seconds of every night, and Posidon the Dead Sea. That sphere that Aphrodite had put down contained 10 humans, 4 girls and 6 boys, that the MoonFae had taken prisoner. 2 of them were released that day, and they started the human race over again. The rest remained inside, waiting for their own time to come back into the world. And life moved on.
