Pressure

I hope I can make it
I need to hold on
I just can't let go
Cant let go of Shawn
As I walk by
They point and laugh
A snide comment
An "accidental" foot in my path
The "what do you see in him, there's nothing there"
I'm shocked they can't see it
As they laugh and swear
It's as bad for him
As it is for me
Them jeering and yelling
To leave that "damn creep"
We walk out of class
And our eyes meet again
And agree silently
We cannot let this end
I ignore the words
And above all the din
I hope that they go
Easy on him
I want to protect him
But that makes it worse
Yet seeing him suffer
Actually hurts
The teachers are listless
They won't do a bit
So we just try
To ignore it
And as I head home
I promise silently
I'll find a way
To make them pay
