Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude." -A.A. Milne.
Well, I find it quite hard to believe that this is my 300th post. Again, I will thank you all for the support you are always so happy to distribute.
#disabilityaware She started out with little faith, Her dreams were only dreams. She lacked the confidence to shine through, Her attitude with no gleam.
Another book over means a new must begin. But my wish list was over, so I searched deep within. On a dusty old shelf where little did go, I found the sweet story that set my heart aglow.
"Promise me you'll always remember: you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think."-A.A. Milne.
I hope this year's a great one too, For each and every one of you. Opuss is my favourite place, Where we can all share the warm, happy space.
"One advantage of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries."- A.A. Milne.
Merry Christmas Opuss. Have a very merry time. I hope Santa is good to you, He should be for your rhymes. Be sure to leave a pie or two, Some milk to warm his tum.
"I used to believe in forever, but forever's too good to be true."- A.A. Milne.
Christmas waves a magic wand over the world and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful- unknown.
I know it's hard, But we must try. It breaks my heart To see you cry. I know it's cruel, Just plain unfair. Like the world's gone wrong, Like no one cares. I know it hurts, A knife to the heart.
A show that made me laugh, cry, scream, fly. It made me see how special living is, That it's the greatest gift anyone could give.
Back when I was little, Quite a while ago: I sometimes got upset you see, Tears would often flow. My mum had only one little cure, My sad days, they were few.
Lately I've been missing you, Our jokes, our laughs, our games. I wish that I could see you now, Without you I'm not the same.
Something happens when you look at me, Deep blue eyes aglow. A look that only you behold, Like a stream in winter snow. Something happens when you speak, Husky voice within.
When dreaming you can find yourself at your happiest. You feel like nothing in life could go wrong. You truly believe that what you are seeing is real.
I can't contain my excitement, I'm not going to lie. Halloween tomorrow. And I'm never very shy. Previous costumes, How long have you got. My many halloween's have been pretty much top notch.
Ok, so I tried: It didn't work. I cried, And boy did it hurt. Gave my heart, You didn't see. Or maybe you did. But it couldn't be. I do wonder, Could it last. Our little story, Hardly too fast.
It's funny how we all can say: 'Everything is A. ok.' When really there's a broken heart, Once so whole, now torn apart. We try push our worries away, When really they just want to stay.
Take a minute, Take a while. Don't need much, Just a smile. Share your friendship, Share your heart. A hug, a kiss, Don't need to be smart. But it counts, Though it may not show.
She comes each sunny morning rise, Long hair waves round her waist. Her petite figure and mystic eyes leave the French men in a daze. Her beauty reflects the Paris scene, The blooming cobble lanes.
Her journey was long and tiring. The hours turned to days and although she found more and more company along the way, she felt empty and scared. "I need to find this man," she would say to herself.
The most wonderful time of the year, Or so that's what they say. A time where all share happiness, Me, I count down the days. No longer a child, though still long for the day, When the jolly St.
I know I've written a lot of these: thanks for reading, sorry I've been slow with the next chapter blah, blah, blah. But I couldn't not say thank you to everyone.
The Final Chapter: Chapter 43: Ruby shut the old leather book slowly after reading the final page to me, clasping it tightly within her arms.
I guess you could call this the final chapter, but there's still a little bit to add so look out for the final part of The Wedding Shop xx Chapter 42: (Part 2/2) Chantelle switched the final light...
Chapter 42: (Part 1/2) "Mr Daniels, I'm sorry, but there's nothing else I can do for you." His temper was increasing more than I had ever seen before, and I knew he wasn't going to settle for...
Chapter 41: It had been just under a month and my decision was one I felt proud of making. My hotel room now felt like home, and with my substantial wages, the cost wasn't a problem at all.
Chapter 40: The air was bright and woke me from my hazy sleep. I automatically made my way to the phone, desperate to speak to my mum.
Hey guys, I'm really keen to read some of your stories that often don't get seen; if you'd like me to read them then please just leave the name in the comments. Thank you. :).
Chapter 39: The room was open and airy with the huge glass windows welcoming the cool breeze.
It feels finished, Nothing left. Crippled, But once the best. Empty, Incomplete. Once happy, Now discrete. Something missing, Not the same. When you were here, I couldn't complain.
Chapter 38: I held my breath as the wings of the plane lifted above the ground. I had to get away from it all, that was the only way I could recollect myself from everything that had happened.
Chapter 37: Weeks passed where I didn't leave the house. The thought of getting out of bed was enough to throw me over the edge.
for @littleone: just a huge thank you for being so devoted and lovely about my story, I know you'll always be a liker, even when it's really bad.
The sunlight streamed through my hair as I made my way down the sandy beach. Flower petals guided my way in symmetrically lines, as I clasped my daddy's arm tightly.
Beauty is only skin deep-remember that..
His eyes His smile My heart Fragile. His laugh His gaze Our love Just a faze. He made Me fly Without A try. His fun His games Neither To blame. We're now Apart Back to The start. by vera©.
Chapter 35: Cindy answered the telephone within seconds. I had spent enough time on my ideas to know they would be for the better. "Hello?" Answered Cindy excitedly.
My new little friends, Just two beauties to see. The day that we meet will be special to me. So small and so innocent, Little cherubs you are. I wish you were here now, Instead rather far.
Chapter 34: We sat there jogging our pens up and down. Both Matt and I decided to start our plans for the big day, although both found it difficult.
The night was young, Not a star in a sight. The moon still hiding, That silent night. The earth stood still, The rivers calm. A chill flew by, Though did no harm. And on that night, A star shot by.
Imagine, A day without sunlight, A night without stars. The moon still above you, Though not very far. A pen without paper, A man with no soul. A tear with no water, A heart that's not whole.
When I try, I sometimes fail. When I want, I don't always receive. When I ask, it doesn't work. But when I dream, I know it can come true. by vera©.
My dream is to own a wedding shop, Someday, somehow, somewhere. It'll sparkle in the evening sun, Each bride shown love and care. The dresses will hang long on the racks, The mirrors show your dreams.
As the seasons change, From winter to spring, New tales are told, More stories to bring. Through summer The fireplace has no uses at all, But as the cold air draws near, The ash soon will fall.
Magic lies in the boat of dreams, That sails so far away. This boat is small, not wide but long. Love growing there each day. A man will stand, so tall and proud. Singing songs of old.
Chapter 33: The hospital bed swam quickly along the busy white corridors.
Chapter 32: My bedroom that had earlier been silent with the faint whispers of Jasmine and I was now thriving with busy women, all wanting a piece of the bride and makeup set.
Hi guys, Hope you're all enjoying my little story that's brushed by rather quickly.
Chapter 31: I tugged the cover away from the mirror, allowing Jasmine time to turn around as we both admired her reflection.
Chapter 30: I had never seen a store look so radiant in my whole life; the atmosphere was indescribable and I felt proud to just be standing there, let alone owning it myself.
Chapter 29: Jasmine looked around the shop in awe. She slowly walked around, gently rubbing her rather huge tummy and after her tour round the my almost finished project skipped over and hugged me.
Can't believe only 10 more followers to 200...amazing. Thank you guys so much, kisses xxx.
Chapter 28: The Wedding Shop. The bold letter stood proudly above the show windows, reflecting the warm sunlight. As the final letter was being adjusted, everything else fell into place.
Chapter 27: 5:30 am. Why can't I sleep. I asked myself crawling out of bed in the dark. I sat at my coffee table for a while, clicking my nails on the wooden desk.
Since I could bite, My nails I would fight. All gone now, They took their bow. It's time to end, This biting my friend. I'm on a mission, I've made my decision.
Chapter 26: "I'm glad to hear it Sophia. I'll keep in touch. Are you sure a week is enough time?" Asked Evie sympathetically. "It'll be fine.
Chapter 25: Our time in Paris quickly drew to an end and we tried to squeeze in any last site seeings or shopping we could.
Chapter 24: The soft morning sun woke us from our heavy rest. The beams of light poured through our shutters and I suddenly remembered where I was. Paris. My favourite place on earth.
You want my attention, Whenever you can. A small little child, With a great evil plan. You're rude and damn stupid, Always think you're the best.
Chapter 23: We arrived at the airport extra early the following Friday night as we both enjoyed looking around all the shops inside the terminals and having plenty of time to spare.
Chapter 22: The business was thriving, and I received daily comments about how fabulous everything was. After one month we were doing great, with plenty of income going straight towards the shop.
Chapter 21: I had made an order for a few more dresses from Chris, although at the moment, the money towards the business was quite tight, and made my way to my first ever house fitting.
A good friend will share YOUR problems and THEIR love.
When someone who was somehow part of your life passes away, you know that they were extremely special when you miss them despite never meeting them..
Chapter 20: The phone rang early the next morning, putting me in an exciting mood.
Chapter 19: I hadn't spoken to Cindy or Jasmine in weeks and knew my best friend's time in Britain was coming to an end.
Chapter 18: "what do you mean you're selling the shop?" I asked puzzled by her response. "I can't do it without Maggie. I'm sorry.
I've been trying to find a reason. What it is that makes us one. We laugh and cry together, And mostly just have fun. I wonder if it was fate, That made us meet that day.
A gift sits there waiting, All wrapped up and neat. But when I see you shortly, You'll reveal the sweet treat.
I need to calm down, Deep breaths in and out. My stress levels high, Makes me want to shout. Too much to do, Presents to wrap. But once it's all done I'll be one happy chap. by vera©.
I love it when the stars Are twinkling in the night, And how they wonder around the moon, Shining there so bright.
Chapter 17: It had been just over a month since Maggie had passed away and everyone was missing her terribly.
A lot of things are easier said then done, but sometimes saying nothing and just doing it saves a lot of heartache..
Turn back the clock, You'll see what unfolds. Memories, stories of young and old. A man with six wives, A man with a dream. Without all these figures, What would life mean.
Chapter 16: I visited Maggie in the hospital regularly for two weeks and each time I saw her I slowly died inside. She was beginning to look empty and could barely move, even her facial expressions.
(I've edited this to make it slightly better, still very similar) There once was a tiny butterfly, whose wings were fragile and weak. She swiftly glided through the sky despite being so meek.
Never noticed, Never seen, Never put first, In between. Never wanted, Never heard, Never flying Like a bird. Always watching, Always feeling, Most will look, Her heart still healing.
It only takes one bad thing to happen to you before a series of sad and upsetting events come flooding back- think before you act.
"I LOVE YOU!" I scream. Your eyes jerk with gleam. "I'LL MISS YOU!" I said. As you bent down your head. "I NEED YOU WITH ME." Your eyes fill with glee.
Don't spoil everything I've become Don't think you're better then me Don't act like you're more important Don't dictate the way you want me to be.
Summer it is still, Although we feel a chill. Evening's getting darker, Hats and scarves instead of starkers. Shorts replaced with jeans, The outdoors feels beyond a breeze.
You walk the streets, Covered in sparkles and red, A beautiful creature, In India bred. Your feet don't thud or shake the ground, You only move your eyes to look around.
Corny, I know. It's what everyone says, But to all that I see I will tell. For I feel if you aim high and work for what you want You'll no longer hide away in your shell.
I walked along a busy street, An old man just sat and prayed. This man seemed wise and caring, I could see it in his gaze. He told the busy passers by The things he'd learnt and seen.
The fun. The glee. There's you And me. We dance. We sing. With joy To bring. You smile. I melt. My heart Has felt. The music Sways. We keep Our gaze. When they've Gone home, We'll dance Alone.
Chapter 15: I recognised the familiar corridors as I ran along each floor of the hospital.
I've never had so much fun, I partied till the morn. This wedding was spectacular, A brand new couple born.
Chapter 14: The room had a dark, gloomy feel to it from the minute I walked in.
#emotion The water has made me numb all over my body. My eyes have become misty with little clouds that I think may be my frozen eyelashes.
Love can lift you higher than the mountains, Give you wings like no other bird. Love can clear away all you fears, Leave you full of life without single word.
Chapter 13: I sat staring at my phone for fifteen minutes, deliberating if I should send the text or not.
Eyeshadow, mascara, I'm good to go, Lipstick, eyeliner, Ready for the show. Foundation, concealer, It's about to begin, Powder, bronzer, And i'm ready to win... by vera©.
Chapter 12: I hadn't been to the shop as regularly as I usually did and was missing it terribly.
All us girls have a butch side...mine came out today as I rolled up my sleeves and ran round the house with a tea towel attacking a fly..
Chapter 11: Jasmine and I were getting all dolled up for the Christmas party. The days seemed to fly by recently and I knew my exam day was fast approaching but tried not to think about it too much.
Chapter 10: I sat my parents down in the dining room to explain to them the decision I had made.
(very excited about this chapter...hope you'll see why but have got some good ideas lined up :) Chapter 9: I was still buzzing from Chris Parker liking my designs.
