The final part of Hellbound (it is not very related to the plotline of Hellbound, but leads onto Tpek's next story...

The thief's blackjack thudded into the guard's skull as he was knocked unconscious. After carefully hiding the sleeping man, Tpek took the large and intricate keys from the guard's belt. Now he had the keys, Tpek had to make his way to the vault of the bank. This was going to be one of the trickiest thefts he had ever attempted - breaking into the private vaults of Thomas Cray. Thomas Cray was a man with a lot of power. And a lot of wealth.

After his encounter with The One Who Influences, Tpek had decided to go back to what he did best - crime. Simply moving away from Ansfold and it's revolution, he had heard about Cray in a bar and investigated.

Tpek smiled as the key made a satisfying click in the complicated lock. He slowly slid the door open and slipped in. There was a large safe, which Tpek guessed contained gold bars, a few ancient books in a display cabinet, a large gem of some sort in a glass container and a few large sacks. Tpek quietly smashed the glass display open and pocketed the gem. He also cut one of the sacks open to find them filled with money. He took a few handfuls and took the books, but left the safe and the rest of the coins because he couldn't carry them. He had more than enough than what he'd wanted - all Tpek had to do was find a good fence and he'd be a rich man. He wouldn't stop stealing, though. Although in his life he had amassed a small fortune, Tpek never really intended settling down. It would be so boring. He escaped from the building easily, found his fence, sold the loot and left the town a day later.

Three days later he was put under arrest for robbery.

Tpek will return in another story.
