Like a vengeful spirit, Tpek charged wildly along the road to Ansfold. He had no idea about what he was about to face, but he knew that whatever it was wasn't normal. The thing that had tried to kill him had called itself a "fairy godmother". And what was a fairy godmother but a creator of stories? Tpek had a feeling that the confrontation would reveal all. He ran on.
The One Who Influences was worried. It could sense something was wrong, it could feel ripples in reality caused by something that wasn't meant to be there. Something The One had no control over. But it was sure a good story would help, and a story was ready in front of it. And then- "Stop there."
