Up on the darkness, High on the moon, Silver bright footprints Lie in the gloom.

Orbiting earth, With a silvery glow, Holding great secrets That we do not know.

I'm going to the moon, Way up in space, The next great adventure For the human race.

And I'll see the craters, And explore where I must, And they'll be my footprints That stand in the dust.

From down here on Earth, To way up in space. To find a great journey. I'm leaving this place!

And that day will come, Hopefully soon, When I sit in a rocket And fly to the moon.
