5. Make it easily understandable. Your story may seem obvious to you, but it might make no sense to people who read it.
4. Consistency is great. Try to write your next chapter within a few weeks of your last, otherwise the chances are you'll lose track of the plot and you may never write the next part (I'm very guilty if this myself, but it gets easier as you keep on writing regularly.
3. Spelling and grammar. I cannot stress how important this is if you want to make your story good to read. Always double check your stories for mistakes, typos and other small details.
