Vegetarianism

Vegetarianism is a remarkably sensible thing. 90% of all food grown in the world is fed to animals. If all humans were vegetarian, everyone would be fed. Also, animals would be happier not being eaten.
Please comment on any bad points about vegetarianism that you can think of.
BTW I'm not a veggie, just looking for an interesting debate ;-)

What would we do with all the animals if not eat them?

@thepoweroflove that's a good point, even if everyone did become vegetarian, how would you get rid of all the animals + meat-processing facilities

@overskill 90% of all that's grown is fed to animals? Really? I'm sure if we all stopped eating meat, we'd eat more than the remaining 10% of farmed crop. Therefore those animals we're trying to save would surely die of starvation, or resort to eating each other. You see, vegetarianism could lead to carnivorous livestock and we may find we are the natural prey of the newly adapted killer cows, chickens, sheep etc. So you see, vegetarianism is madness!! ;-)

@Maunder interesting theory, I didn't know that :D
