I had a lovely dream last night, Where snow covered the ground. I was standing in my own backyard, The sun was going down.

But I was not alone, For that would be a lonely tale, No, I was with another boy, Our faces cold and pale.

We were playing tag, the boy and I, And it was such a lovely scene, I was one year younger, As we were both fourteen.

As he ran to catch me, I turned and took a glance, He had finally caught me, And stared as if he were in a trance.

He kept walking closer, We were inches apart, A loud noise was booming, Was that my heart?

Five inches now, Then quickly four, Onto three inches, two, Then there's only one more.

He bent his head up, (For he was shorter than I) Our heads closed in, Our lips began to intertwine,

But, alas, I awoke and opened my eyes.
