Phil Lew

It was a cold day in January,
When a man named Phil Lew,
Got up out of bed,
Wiped his nose and
Put a hat on his head,
And decided to wreck havoc.

But there was one thing Phil Lew didn't do,
And it was a very important thing, too.
Before he left his house and land,
Phil Lew forgot to wash his hands.

He walked by people on the street,
All he happened to greet,
Phil Lew shook all their hands,
Said goodbye, all was grand,
And he went on his merrily way.

But the citizens didn't know,
That things weren't under control.
Their faces, once pristine,
Would turn into blotches,
The snot in their noses
Would turn yellow-green.
Heads would get hot,
Throats would get sore,
Having a social life
Would be no more.

So many aches,
So many pains.
And what does our good ol'
Buddy Phil Lew gain?

Another year to go and hibernate.
Until next winter,
He'll come back more bitter,
And we'll all have to face Phil again.

Here's hoping a day will come soon,
Where we will all bid adieu,
To old man Phil Lew.
