Snow Day

School's closed,
First a delay,
Now we have no school today!

Hurrah, hurrah,
I saw it on the news,
I guess I should catch a little more snooze.

But when I wake up,
Boy, this'll be fun,
I'll eat some pancakes and
Get my driver's ed homework done!

I'll stare at the tv all day,
Because I have no friends,
You see, on the season it depends (more on that later..)

Currently I'm laying in bed,
My mom said to go back to sleep,
But I can't, and I won't go counting sheep.

She said if I don't I can go shovel snow,
So I rolled over and waiter for her to go
And grabbed my iPod off its hole.

I guess I'll wait til 8 AM
To bring my butt downstairs,
Or not, you know, who cares?

@paintingskies We do have winter, it has become a less wintery in the recent years though thanks to climate change 🙍 I guess it's just that if they'd close the school because of snow they should keep
