"We're here." Tashie announced.
The group had finally made it to the light.
"Well, what do we do?" Stefan asked, strutting up to the light.
"Walk through it?" Lydia guessed.
"I don't know." Tashie said, uncertain. "But we might as well try."
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Stefan said excitedly. He glanced at Lydia.
"See you on the flip side," Stefan said, quickly planting a kiss on Lydia's lips. Stefan walked into the light, then instantly disappeared.
Gavin stared at Lydia, his mouth open. Did Lydia and Stefan just kiss? No, it couldn't be.
Gavin snapped out of it. Lydia was walking towards him. "Let's walk through together," she said, grabbing his arm and pulling him to the light.
"Okay.." Gavin mumbled, stunned.
"Everything alright?" Lydia asked casually, even though she could see the hurt in Gavin's eyes. He knew.
"I guess." Gavin shrugged.
Lydia put on a fake smile. "Okay then!" she said brightly. "Let's go through."
"Okay." Gavin muttered.
The two walked up to the light. Then slowly, as if they were stepping into cold water, the two placed their feet into the light.
And inch by inch, Lydia and Gavin walked through the light.
