The moon and the sun Were quite a difficult pair. They didn't see eye to eye, Opinions were something they didn't share.

The two both came From the same space. They grew up together, But they each had different traits.

The Earth had never seen "Day" or "night". All that was on Earth Was just plain, colorless sight.

The sun was always happy, Bouncy as can be, So she shined her bright light, Because she loved being free.

But the moon was always sad, Depressed and nearly numb, He surrounded himself with darkness, He thought beauty was dumb.

So the two finally agreed To divide up the time. The sun could have the day, When the animals came out to play. The moon could have the night, When things were asleep and not so bright.

And that's how day and night came to be. Sometimes it's nice to agree to disagree, Because you can get better Combinations of things.
