I wrote this when I was 14 which was over half my life ago (only just), so it's a little young and innocent but now I have a place to be heard I figured I'd post some old stuff too. Let me know what you think :-)
As the passion burns inside You light a fire in my heart As I lie here without you Surrounded by the dark
I feel like reaching out But the vision of you disappears And then the tears start rolling And out come all the fears
The fears of being lonely The fears of being alone Can't stand to be without you Can't stand to be on my own
When I'm with you I'm happy You make me feel alive I feel like I'm in heaven Until the passion dies
But I must be brave and fearless For I know you can't be mine Because I know that you don't love me Though they say that love is blind
I'll have to come to terms with it And I'll have to face the facts That you love another And you won't be turning back
I know you won't come back to me Not even to say goodbye So I must stand tall and be intrepid And try my best not to cry
I'll tell myself you're not worth it And that I deserve the best As I sit up at night crying Clenching my pillow to my chest
And as the next day approaches You seem to drift away Drift away from my memories To come back another day
