Our Manderley
Our Manderley
Last night I dream't of our Manderley It was not the house on fire but my soul burn't and in tatters Fine Manderley I can but only there be free
Oh Manderley of the heart, the mind, the soul Of all of me unknown But today I pity thee Who cannot stay and await my Manderley
Like a portrait on a wall A first wife footsteps to follow Her beauty more wonderous and perfect as can be Overshadowing me
Glimpses of a future Unbeknown to me A future of love and laughter A marriage of hope In a world of sorrow and fear
The warmest smile I ever did see A song in his words As he spoke to me
Birds flutter all around Gentle breezes no changing seas A life a love is but now deceased
Life is everchanging Love is wild and free I cannot hold on to endless boundary It has fragmented me Trust in love Mismatched complications A heart struck with a fixation
Bright light hold on tight Breathe a dream A rose no longer with a thorn A day thats just been born Petals scattered in the wind of time
Quietest Peace Endless possibilities of changing tides Naked worlds that lead us here as one
The universe our unity in love Manderley The dream, the goal A breathe of air Dream a dream Until its gone and play the songs that will remain unsung
Fine Manderley I can but stay Another day Always In my dream My Life, my heart My last moments here will be there At our Manderley
Oh Manderley Hush be still On days of sorrow Give hope a future bright Sit wait be still Await a real Manderley We will again be free
For I fight the fight To stay to be there with you At Manderley..
