Down Silly Street I love to play, Run and skip and dance all day. I don't like it when my parents say: Don't you go down to Silly Street today.
Why don't they like my Silly street, It is to me such a treat. My friends all there I love to meet, With pockets filled with things to eat!
Oh! my parents are such a bore, Yet it is they that I adore. Adults are just one big chore, Yes, I am free when out the door!
But dreams for me do come true, For I know now just what to do. Tonight I'll stop my dreams that fleet, And tomorrow I'll be on - YEA, Silly Street!!
