He was Bob Bones; thats a Mr. to me and you No one took him for what he was that was true They all thought he was out o his mind Just cause truth was what he did pursue
They said he was gone; lights turned off in his head Told us his mind was fryin; he was brain dead Cared about no one; just always seeing red
But I didnt believe a single word they said thing for personal gain When it was sunny out; hed say it'd rain But in the head he was just clear and plain
Told me he was chasing clouds in a cloudless sky They said he'd question himself and wonder why The corrupt were rich and the fact that birds could fly Hed look up in the clouds and take a mighty sigh
Told me he'd drink tea with an invisible company Of imaginary friends they were part of his history He'd talk with them and ponder bout all the misery In the world at the time; why were people so miserly
Went on walks from his house to the downtown Wanted to see where the factory made the kings crown He saw the same factory make the gowns of a clown These monsters spit out filth into a river that was brown
Bob went to the flats of bachelors; at midnight awoken Saw thier corruption and how thier families were broken Watched as they wasted thier lives on the same token He went to the club and saw the drunk; sniffing coke and
Shooting guns and buying hash from the dealer Bob was shocked; these kids needed a healer They needed a remedy; needed potato peelers Yo let'em see reality; let'em feel with thier feelers
He saw the corporations overtake the families Crushing thier businesses like they were fleas Giving them the worst of the market just to tease Thier relentless system would never cease
He saw the fast food chains serving up platters Of burgers and anything that'll make you fatter All the local cooks sitting round in tatters Bob wouldve much rather given his money to the latter
He saw the school systems teaching skewered facts Trying to dumb down kids so they could pay thier tax Getting thier salary is what thier after; push it to the max Till the old pipes burst and the sturdy wall cracks
He saw what was happening to the white abode A house divided falls like its in freefall mode All the parties have to communicate in code Deception was law; thats what it showed
He saw all this and it made him start thinking Would life be different if he was drinking Or tied to the mast of a ship that was sinking His eyes were burning; couldnt stop blinking
He couldnt take this insanity no more Needed someone to show him the door Out of this madness he wanted to soar But his wings were too weak and he fell to the floor
The people of this world were crazy he thought It was against thier own will with whom they fought They lived in a Hell that they themselves had wrought Didn't they read the fine lines when they bought
But Bob knew the people needed a savior Someone to help'em; do'em a big favor People needed to wake up; not fall and waver Not put up with this vile behavior
But Bob Bones said to himself I'll stand tall Against bitter opression; save'em all I came right now and then I saw Now its time for me to conquer'em all
