20 September 2012

Rainbow stars illuminate the night,

Piercing through a wall of black with their shimmering light,

Giggles and howls of delight,

Screams of delirious fright,

Bumper cars speeding around the track,

Skidding into one another at full whack,

Waltzers gliding through the air,

People with blazing eyes and tangled hair,

Candyfloss, a cloud of silver sugar,

Toffee apples, rich and sweet,

Swarms of people dancing to the beat,

Of the music blaring through the dark,

Adding life to the crowded park,

Huck a duck,

A game of luck,

Hamster balls,

Flips and falls,

Ferris wheel,

Awestruck squeal,

A carousel with sleek, beautiful horses, soaring round and round,

Enchanting and mystical they never touch the ground,

A haunted house sends a shiver down your spine,

As mangled heads and a ghostly breeze attack you from behind,

The fair has come to town,

And exhilaration and excitement will soon surround...
