Your heart is pounding,
Your voice resounding,
Sticky palms,
Mind invaded by qualms,
Heart fluttering,
Words stuttering,
Caged in your stomach- butterflies,
Threatening to reveal your fears with their cries,
Your throat is sealed by a boulder,
The weight of the world on your shoulder,
What can you say?
Day by day,
You love him more and more,
A moment without him is a chore,
"Will you go out with me?"
Is a petrifying plea,
"Would you like to come to the cinema with me?"
The only film I could bear to see,
Is a happy romance starring you and me,
But if I don't pluck up the courage and lift my shy and nervous mask,
I will never know how to ask...
