Surviving the emotional perils of my heart, Pushing through the sea of my tears, From my stormy wave of emotions, I pushed upwards, And gulped a breath of fresh air.
Moving through the raging battles of my soul, I defeated the excuses that cloud my mind. I felt the hand of confidence pull me out, As I left my broken dreams behind.
I sit here with the sunshine surrounding me, No more deceptions, no more lies. I have defeated the unbearable sound of silence, And survived the deafness of my cries.
