Chapter 34
The late bell rang just as I walked into Mrs. Kemp's class. "Your late." Mrs. Kemp handed my a detention slip. I grabbed the slip and walked to my seat. I was one detention away from Saturday school. "Today you will grab an iPad and find an article about something in another country. It can't be about sports, or the oscars, or any kind of entertainment." Mrs. Kemp said and everyone got up to get an iPad. I sat there and waited a bit, then I got in line behind Pikachu. In front of Pikachu was Gianna, Mandy, and Ashely. I stood on a small stool. "Look I'm as tall as Ashely." I said, but Ashely didn't notice. "Hey Pikachu." "Hey Jake." Pikachu turned to look at me. "You should punch her." I nodded towards Mandy. "Punch her?!?" Pikachu's eyes widened. "Not hard, but make her move." I explained. "Like this?" Pikachu pushed me softly. "Yeah." Pikachu stepped forward, she pointed and Mandy and looked back at me. I nodded. She pushed Mandy and Mandy turned around and made a weird face at Pikachu. She turned back to me. "See what happens?" I laughed, Pikachu gave me and confused look, then smiled. She turned and looked forward again. I turned around and saw James behind me. "Hey James, I like your hair. Do you do something to it, or do you wake up and it's like that?" I asked James. He smiled and shrugged, he doesn't talk much. "You talk about weird things." Pikachu said. "Yeah." I said as Pikachu grabbed and iPad and sat down in her seat. I grabbed an iPad and the stool and sat down next her and faced where Ashely would sit. Ashely was taking forever to get to her seat so I turned around to talk to Pikachu. "Do you have a good relationship with your sister?" I asked, her sister is Mary. I sometimes eat with Mary, but Tara, my closest friend, doesn't like her so I haven't been eating with her lately. "Yeah?" Pikachu said, confused. "That's good." I nodded. "Do you have a good relationship with your sister?" Pikachu asked. How did she know I have a sister? I wondered. "Always!" I said as Ashely sat down so I turned back to Ashely. "Do you know how to get onto Facebook on these?" I asked, the school blocks Facebook, so you have to have a special code to get on. "Yeah, do you?" Ashely asked. "Well yeah, but how do you know?" I asked, I didn't expect her to know. "My dad's a teacher." Ashely said simply, she paused and then asked, "How do you know?" "I know people." I said, a junior named Josh gave me the code last semester when we had to have seminar in Mrs. Sinco's room.
