The sky is dark, The clouds are grey, Oh, I wish they'd take that cat away.

The air is cold, Like the still moon, Is my dinner coming soon?

The stars are out, They shine so bright, It's hard to see in this dull light.

The owl she hoots, The wolf he cries, It's not comfy where I lie.

The wind it howls, The house it groans, My mistress is still on the phone.

The crickets are humming, The birds don't cheep, I think I'd better get some sleep.
