Chapter 2 Lady Clariana and Co.
Allie was sitting at the dining room table with her mother, Lady Clariana, her father, Lord Albert-Charles, her two spoilt fat sisters, Elizabeth and Rosmary-Grace (the twins) and her older brother Fred (Fredrick-Kenith) who had abandoned his title to become an artist. He rented out a small flat in London, but had come back to the estate in Kent for Christmas.
Allie was still being told off for her 'simply hideous manners' "You know by now darling that we never, ever fidget at meals, or put out elbows on the table while eating. I mean look at the twins, they have impeccable manners." Her mother gestured to the all-smiling, all-happy spoilt six years olds that were her half sisters. Allie sighed. It just wasn't fair. I mean, look at Fred! she thought. He's eating with his hands and no one batters an eyelid. Allie could see her grey mare and her bay stallion getting frisky. She had promised to ride them around half one, and it was already two! "May I please be excused" Allie asked her step-mother who replied with a mummer that sounded like, don't be long. Allie saw that she was trying to get Fred to appreciate the twins new silk dresses. Well, though Allie, that's a hopeless cause and skipped down the grand hall to the stables.
