Chapter 2
With a small gasp I stepped back. I was too busy worrying to realise I was getting swept up in a gale. This wasn't good. Oh no. I fought my way back, but it was no use.
"Just don't struggle" a faint voice whispered in my ear. "Just go with the flow."
"Who are you?" I asked.
"The same as you." she replied. "Wind"
A thought came to my mind. If these people were Wind, then my sister would be here somewhere, wouldn't she?
"Have you met someone named Corentine? Seen her? Has anyone seen someone called Corentine? Anyone?"
I questioned everyone, but no one seemed to know her. I sat on a nearby cloud, glad to get out of the rush-hour. Deep in thought, something broke my concentration. A scream? A scream. Corey's scream. I'd know that scream anywhere. I jumped up.
"Corey! Corentine!" I called "Answer me!"
Her scream was getting fainter and fainter. I sat back down. She can't have been in trouble, can she? If she was in trouble, I had to help her. But the flow was now going the other way, and Corentine's voice was coming from the other direction. Well, I came to the conclusion that if she was going away from me she probably didn't need my help all that much. But that scream kept repeating itself in my head, over and over, sending a chill down my back. I decided to go back. The other Wind were now going in the direction of Cloud 9, so I got in, and flew myself back home. Only to find the gate locked.
