Laying here awake while you slumber
All I do is lay here and wonder
Why am I so gullible for you
Why do I believe what you say is true
I want to punch a wall
But what will that solve
You'll still be sleeping while I'm brewing in anger
But don't you worry you're not in danger
For now...
When you awake shall I forgive you?
I guess it depends if I'm in a good mood
I lay here with a headache while you sleep in peace
What curse upon me has taken my ability to sleep
I cannot lay here and weep
It is beyond me to do so
But why do I lay here with anger and woe
I want one thing
Is that one thing too much?
Because I can't have your kiss and your touch
I want to scream at the top of my lungs
Maybe then you'll answer me
Maybe then you'll awake & finally see
But no... I'm awake & you're asleep
And that's how it shall be...for tonight at least
