The words 'I love you' Are slung all around The true meaning of love Pounded into the ground
Why does one day Suddenly mean so much People spend tons of money Are we that out of touch?
Since when does love Mean buy me a ring Love isn't based on Such temporary things
A commercialized holiday Is just Thursday to me I'll continue to smile And carry on with glee
But when people approach And say Happy V-Day I'll simply nod my head And say "Same to you babe"
Half off chocolate Is all it means to me That's all it ever was That's all it'll ever be
