Meeting you was a blessing,
You see it wasn't a mistake,
Seeing you saved me,
From all the pain & heartaches,
Before you.. One thought consumed me,
That I might end up alone,
Then I met you,
And the light in total darkness was shone,
I'm hoping you can find a way,
To get past what you're going through,
I'm not expecting it to happen fast,
That's why I'm always going to be here for you,
You can think of me as an angel,
That was.. For a while.. Hidden in the world,
With all the things that I've gone though I am a woman,
And no longer a little girl,
Thoughts of you keep me awake at night,
But when I do sleep I dream of you,
I don't have a reason for doing so,
All I know is that what I feel is true,
Hopes and dreams secretly lie in my heart,
I can't say I wish we were together,
But I can say I hope we're never apart,
Every time rain falls I think of you,
All I want is hold you in my arms,
To let you know that everything's okay,
All that I'll be the one that keeps you safe from harm,
When I see that smile my world is alright,
All I have to do is picture your eyes in my mind,
Eyes that hold back so much hurt,
And lips that manage to speak words so kind,
I can tell that you care what I'm feeling,
Even if it's not that obvious to you,
I just know that the feelings I'm experiencing,
Are nothing but completely true,
I may have to wait a while and that's fine,
I've been waiting for 19 years after all,
For that one special person to catch me,
When the world that surrounds me begins to fall,
Hopes & dreams fill my heart today,
And although I may not hear from you,
I just want to know that you're okay,
And the moment that I do, my world will be alright
