He was unnoticeable at first but he was there. In the middle of the street. He stayed there for about a minute. He didn't move at all. Even with the hail and the taxis. He looked as if he were waiting for something. The tan hat he wore hid most of his face and his matching coat did little for the hail. There wasn't any wind just the sleet which made the street look foggy and quite hard to see but the bright broadway lights made up for that. Combined they gave the scene a bit of a bluish tinge. Anyway there he was in the street- stood perfectly still. I could see in front of him traffic building up. I would have gone up to him and told to him to come away but to be perfectly honest he didn't seem like he wanted someone telling him what to do. You could almost see the power building up in him until something happened. I recognised the face through the car window. He was a drunk. I guess that's probably why he did what he did. He revved up his engine. Everyone stopped. We could all see what was about to happen. He drove in a reasonably straight line right towards the mysterious man. Who immediately put his hand out straight in front of him. The car then came into contact with the man. We were all expecting a collision but something strange happened. The car bounced of his hand and flew a couple of meters into the air. Just to land on another yellow taxi. At that time most people were focused on the car but I was looking at the man. He's mouth curled into a smile. I looked back at the car. Everyone was crowded around the drunk man who was obviously in pain. I looked back to where he was standing. He was walking off in the other direction fading behind the sleet. I could see that the drunk man was taken care of so I simply left but I still think its very strange. Sometimes I think it was a dream as it didn't come up in the news or anything and everyone said that it never happened...?
