A love so true yet I doubted,
We argued, we fought, we shouted.
The stresses of new pressures,
That come with living together.
I derailed, thought we'd failed,
Lost ourselves and flailed.
Slowly but surely like a phoenix from ash,
We burned and we burned until we got ourselves back.
With ourselves came that sense of new love,
You fitting me once more like a glove.
We've come through it stronger together,
We made it along.
And I love you now more than ever.
