Lily Alone is a book that I read that I really enjoyed. The characters are so loveable - Lily who is (11) her twin brother and sister Bliss and Baxter (6) and their mischievous 3 year old sister, Pixie! It was really different then my life and it was really interesting to know about what other people are going through. I would recommend this book for over eights. The writing is not too big and their are lovely illustrations. Jacqueline Wilson makes this such an enjoyable read. Lily's Mum goes on holiday with her new boyfriend thinking that her ex will look after the kids. Her mum leaves but little did Lily know that the ex that was meant to be babysitting is up in Glasgow. Lily hates Mikey the ex so doesn't tell him. Lily steps into the shoes of her mum doing the best she can. But she's only 11! Can Lily survive at home alone?? Will her Mum ever come back??
