In my opinion, killing another because you disagree with their view is wrong; discriminating against something you don't understand is wrong. Why am I saying this, well simply because although I am African and heterosexual, I strongly disagree with homophobia. I admit that I have my own issues with homosexuality but they are my issues not theirs. My opinion on it is my opinion but you don't see me running around screaming 'burn that batty man'. There is this idea that I come across: Black men should hate gays but why? To each his own, it is their body, so they can do whatever they want with it. You want to sleep with the same sex, cool, you want opposite sex, cool. How does another's sexual preference affect me, how does another's sexual preference solve global hunger... I don't claim to know it all and neither should anyone else, what is right and what is wrong is your own opinion.

The UTECH beating video, where this Jamaican woman drives home the point, frankly says it all. But that's not what drove me to write this. I just heard that a government is preparing a law called 'kill the gays' bill, are you freaking kidding me! It's 2012! How does that solve the national issues. So what if you think what they are doing is wrong... So if there are those who think what you do is wrong, does it make it right for them to kill you as well. Sentencing another to death because you disagree with the way they live their life is crazy, who are you to cast judgement! Equating another persons sexual interest with murder... Yes you may have it in your head that homosexuality is wrong but that doesn't make the death sentence right. Well, that's just my opinion.
