This story continues from where Let Them Come stopped, enjoy!
I was absently listening to the radio broadcast, which had said that many were in hospital receiving treatment for their injuries. I had to get there, I needed to know my folks were ok. I decided to take short cuts through residential areas, my engine working as well as it did when I first started. Then in the distance I saw a hazy pattern form ahead and I slowed down the van. I was curious and I began to observe a myriad of colours, which became a bright light. A black line cut across it vertically as I stopped the van and exited the drivers seat, leaving the engine running and the headlights on. I watched as a doorway formed ahead of me and a being walked out and the light behind vanished in an instant. Absently, I wondered if those in their homes saw what I was seeing or if I was hallucinating. I was afraid but my curiosity overcame my fear and I walked towards the creature with my palms open. He was a tall being and his whole body was covered by an odd looking cloak, tentacle like locks of hair extended from his head and his face was bearded.
"Do not fear mortal, I am Oasis." He said to me in English, surprising me even more. He smiled as if reading my thoughts. "We work with the Guardians to protect free will and preserve all sentient life including Humanity." He added. "We watched and we have seen the hand of the Orion Confederation reach across realities, fabrics and dimensions, to throw your world into chaos." He continued and I listened completely entranced by his words. "We have communed with you in the past, giving you answers to questions that would help your kind in its coming struggle and we are happy to see your progress." He added. Does he mean those equations and my engine? (tbc...)
