I noticed someone else did one of these, so I thought I'd make my own list of books that I thought were brilliant as recommendations for others. These are in no particular order, just the order in which they came to mind. So. Yeah! Enjoy!

~ Larklight (trilogy) What could be better than pirates in the Victorian era? Pirates in the Victorian era in space! Any steampunk fans should definitely read these, even if they are for ten year olds!

~The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy (series) Let's continue the theme of space travel. Any fan of Sci-Fi has got to love these books. Even if thy don't love them, they have to at least read them. Douglas Adams really knows how to capture how the universe views Earth just with two words.

~Doctor Whom Yep. Still on Sci-Fi. A clever and funny twist on Doctor Who and on grammar and story writing. It's such a quirky book you don't care how good or bad the storyline actually is.

~Star Trek I've only read two Star Trek books ('The Neverending Sacrifice' & 'Terok Nor: Dawn of the Eagles') but for any true Trekker or Trekkie you've got to read them. They capture the spirit and feel of the series perfectly, as well as give you more insight into the lives of the characters. You really won't regret it.

~Thorns Okay, this'll be my last Sci-Fi book. A story of two characters who are down on their luck, brought together just for the entertainment of the planets population. Robert Silverberg tells the dramatic tale in a small enough book to carry in your pocket.

~Steampunk! An Anthology of Fantastically Rich and Strange Stories A collection of steampunk short stories brought together and edited by Kelly Link and Gavin J. Grant. There's at least one story in here for everyone.

~A Series of Unfortunate Events Not tales for those like a happy ending. The horrifying and depressing story of three orphans being chased by a money crazed mad man. Let me tell you now their story has no happy finish.

~How To Train Your Dragon (series) Granted, these are definitely aimed at a young audience, but if you don't mind crude humour about poo, butts and boobs, then you can put these aside and enjoy Hiccup tale as he prove his worth as a Viking, even though he's not exactly cut out for the job.

~The Princess Diaries (series) Okay, these are for really girly teenage girl types. So not really for everyone. However, I happen to love them. Spunky, outcast, vegetarian Mia has suddenly thrust upon her that she's a princess and has to learn how to deal with the sudden changes to her life that come with that title while still trying to be a normal teenage girl.

~Maximum Ride (series) Okay, this is kinda Sci-Fi. I guess I lied before. Avian human hybrids on the run from the crazy scientists who created them, as well a the wolf human hybrids that they send to recapture them. Fun to read, even if they're designed for kids.

I'll leave it at that for now. I might decide to do more in the future.
