The City At Night.

The city was as dark as space, the city lights shined like diamonds cut into a million facets and strewn through the night. The city lights resembled a backlit canopy with holes punched in it. The city lights shone in the distance like many tiny twinkling stars. The streets were like a sea of oil frozen in time. The buildings were like steel giants in a freeze-frame. The skyscrapers were metal giraffes, their spots billions of windows. The water was a tinted mirror, reflecting the imperfections like bullets through the heart.
