(authors note: this is something that's been lost in the back memory of my computer for a while, I don't want to clog up my feed with unfinished stories, so I've decided to turn this into a short story that I'll load when ever hope you enjoy :) Love R)
Prologue. "Her." One word. That's all it took to change the game completely. Centres of fighting, countless advances in technology, trillions of information, billions upon billions of deaths and so much more and it all comes down to that one word; 'her.' No one dared say a thing no one could even breath. A joke? This must be a sick, hideous joke. I wanted to laugh to flick my blonde hair over my shoulder and laugh. But I couldn't move, couldn't quite gather my thoughts. Does it really come down to this? Was it worth it? If this is the final price to pay? I remember there was this man once, he came into our school for our history class, he had been kind and old, I had loved how he smelt slightly of peppermint and how his eyes sparkled when he smiled, the way only an old persons could. He had shown us these funny things, pieces of shinny paper with a woman on, she was holding a baby and laughing, they didn't move or do anything except show this one image. I think he called them photographs? I can't quite remember, but the way he handled them, using only the smallest of touches to take it out of this big metal box, it had told me how important they were how we were privileged to see it. When the bell that signalled the end of lesson rang nearly everyone ran out, but I didn't, I stayed, I don't know why, I felt like I had to say something. So I looked this old man in the eye and said the only thing that came to mind; "One day we'll need things like this, so we know where to start when it's all over." And the man just blinked at me before the most amazing smile spread across his face and I couldn't help but smile back. It was a perfect moment, but like all moments they have to end, and this one ended with a missile hitting the building opposite. I had been pulled out by my body guards, but I did catch one last glimpse of him, frantically packing this photo, making sure it was protected and safe. I found out later that he never made it out, the building he was in had been hit a few minuets after. But when they searched through the rubble they found a body curled up protecting a black metal box. He had died to preserve this small piece of history, he had died for what he believed in. And I remember I thought about how pointless it had been, how bombing the school had been a pointless act, to prove what? But to understand that, I suppose a history lesson is in order; It all started centuries ago, back to the year 2016 and the start of World War Three. No one is quite sure how it started, that piece if information was lost years ago, but we do know the figures, it last for twenty years, twenty years of unknown suffering, people starved on the streets, riots broke out, seas became graveyards for abandoned bodies. Massive city's were reduced to rubble within minuets as grate fires torched anyone who survived. The death toll was unknown. But one man rose from the flames; Dorian Llewellyn. He feed the hungry, sheltered the homeless, fought not for political or religious views but for the lives for others. He saved countless lives. And in doing so brought about the end of the war. He was soon named king. Slowly he rebuilt Earth, a world not divided by countries, languages or culture, instead now united under this grate Kings rule. Peace, after so long, they finally had peace. And this continued for two hundred years as the thrown was pasted down the Llewellyn line. However in the year 2239 earth found itself not alone in the universe. Queen Coralline Llewellyn lead her people into a new era, were technology advanced, disease disappeared, where everyone had food and shelter. Everything was perfect. But then on two distant planets war broke out, and like an infection spread and grew, dragging more and more innocent people into this battle, till eventually, in 2360 Earth was made to fight. Adults became soldiers while child waited till there day came when they too must fight. But through all of this, through all the pain, death and destruction one light shone, guiding countless species to hold on hope, this light was the Llewellyn line who fought side by side with everyone else and so it has been until this moment. Now in the year 3319 a meeting of the leaders of the worlds that were most involved was called on planet smack bang in the centre of no mans land, were an agreement of peace must be made or the consequences would hideous. To make sure everyone behaved the leaders were forced to bring there families, meaning the now King of earth King Leon Llewellyn was forced to bring his wife, three sons and only daughter. That's how I come into it all, my name is Adelaide Llewellyn, the first princess to be born into the royal line since Queen Coralline, I've been sheltered most my life, I mean this was my first trip to another planet and now, everything, this entire war it all comes down to that one word. "Her." Me. Well, fuck.
