There's something so enticing about a hopeless case. Like battling on when all the world's against you. And if you win, you're a hero. That's why I took the mission. I don't like the term 'mission'. It's way too formal and official for a group as top secret, elite and totally illegal as us. But I took it up anyway. Okay, maybe part of the reason was to relive the life I'd decided to leave behind forever. Go into a normal school. Stay with normal people. Take normal classes, be part of normal clubs, have normal conversations. Be normal. Then report back to highers about it. Hmmm... Maybe I really did leave it behind forever.
