"What?" I spluttered out in utter shock. "Your fathers name is Jeremy Matthews. As you know I was very young having you." My mother said getting ready to explain what she had kept away from me for so long. "I was sixteen when I had you, not the age to be getting pregnant with someone I didn't love. As your father was so young he had no job and could not support us. That is why I have brought you up on my own. I am sorry I haven't told you before I just thought you didn't need to know." She said starting to tear up. "Mum it's ok, I forgive you." I said now supporting her. The door bell rang indicating someone has decided to visit us. My mother fiercely wiped her eyes and hurried out to answer the door. I heard some mumbling from downstairs and then heard my mum calling up to me. "Coming!" I shouted out whilst grabbing my pearl, silk dressing gown and running down the cream carpeted stairs. "Hello Lilliana." It was detective Winslow from the cafe last night. "Hello." I said in a hushed whisper. My mother guided him and me to the dining table. She then hurried into the kitchen to get some drinks. "I am here to inform you that Fiona's body has been found. It wasn't from drowning though. We found several stab wounds into the heart, and a bullet through her head. We have not found Fiona but we suspect she hasn't drowned. At the minute I'm doing this case and I'm going to do the best I can." He finished as my mother came back in with a cup of tea for the detective and a glass of apple and raspberry juice for me. He nodded in acknowledgement and I whispered a thank you. Once the detector had finished his drink he asked me in detail what I thought had happened, he sat there the whole time writing every detail. "Thank Lilliana who have been a great help. I will inform you in what's happening." He said standing up and seeing himself out.
